Welcome to the Neuerburg family homestead located in rural Minnesota.  We are a crazy homeschooling, farming, gardening, debt-free, goat and chicken loving, nothing-is-to-challenging, millennial homesteading family.  If you can relate with any of the aforementioned, then please join us on our journey!!

Shelly is a homeschooling mother of four.  She keeps the house in order, the family socialized, and the children tended to.  That is definitely not an easy feat!  Not only that, but she manages the garden, canning, and helps with the farm and remodeling projects.

I (Jeremy) am an Electrical Engineer by trade.  My days are spent behind my laptop, programming and designing industrial automation systems.  My evenings and weekends are spent with my family, remodeling our house, playing farmer, and (pedal) cycling.

Join us as we attempt to bring life to our dilapidated old farmstead we purchased in 2015.  We are currently renovating our house (our third house remodel), barn, and pretty much everything in sight on our property.  Something new is always going on here as we start plenty of new farming adventures, including everything from tending a vineyard to raising rabbits. We will keep our blog current so you can learn from our mistakes and successes.

As we wrap up some of our high-priority projects, I plan to take my experience in automation and bring it home to our farm to simplify much of our daily workload.  I will detail those and many other random ideas and thoughts here.
